Ahh, 2009… such a good year. ToRD moved to Downsview, bouts were won and lost. The Gores took the Boot in a wicked sweet match against the Betties. Fans flocked from all over the GTA to show their derby love (we love you guys too!). Whip It came out and drummed up some great interest in the sport (remember the exhibition bout at Yonge/Dundas square? Good times!)

North America plummeted into an ‘economic crisis’. Bailouts were handed out left, right and center. Car companies folded, the US booted Bush out of office. Summer decided NOT to show up (thanks a lot, jerk). Windows 7 was launched… but I digress.
